Yes. Booking direct with us means you avoid the booking fees and service charges added by the larger platforms. You also get a direct line to the owner if you need anything before or during your stay.
All linen and towels, fully fitted kitchens with everything you need to cook, free Wi-Fi, smart TVs, heating and a personal welcome from the host. There’s nothing extra to pay on arrival.
We understand that plans can change. Cancellations made more than 30 days before check-in receive a full refund, less a small admin fee. Cancellations within 14 to 30 days receive a 50% refund, and bookings cancelled inside 14 days are non-refundable. We always recommend travel insurance to cover unexpected changes. If you need to amend your dates, get in touch directly and we’ll do our best to help.
Check-in is from 4:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am. If you’d like an earlier check-in or a later check-out, just ask when you book. We’ll always try to accommodate it if the apartment is free either side of your stay.
Unfortunately our apartments are not pet-friendly at this time. This keeps the properties in top condition for guests with allergies. Registered assistance dogs are always welcome — please let us know in advance so we can prepare the apartment for you.
Donnini Court has a private allocated parking space. Charlotte Street has on-street parking with permits provided. City Gate in York is well-served by nearby city centre parking — we’ll send you the details when you book.
Yes. A lot of our guests are professionals on work duty. The apartments have strong Wi-Fi, good desk space, and quiet locations. We can arrange longer stays at a discount — just ask.
Absolutely. Both Ayr apartments are well suited to families, and Charlotte Street has a private south-facing garden that’s great for kids.
